BLVD and Guests THUMP - A Dance-Infected Rock Show
BLVD bring their dance-infected rock sound to George's Nightclub. Fresh off a tour of Fiji and Australia and a West Coast run with the Disco Biscuits, BLVD returned home to WOW the crowds of Marin County!
In late 2009, they wrapped up recording their 5th studio album, Return to Center, with critically-acclaimed producer Jeff Saltzman (The Killers, Fischerspooner, The Black Keys) which will hit the streets in May 2010.
BLVD will continue their touring blitz on the North American this spring along with their customary summer festival circuit, including a spot at the 20th Annual High Sierra Festival. Last year they rocked the Shambhala Music Festival in British Columbia and had a headlining slot at Earthdance Festival's hub event.
Other highlights included playing the Do Lab's Coachella Festival installation, Camp Bisco, Summer Meltdown, and a headlining set at New York City's Bowery Ballroom.
"Fast becoming late night royalty, BLVD turned in one of the day's finest performances and certainly one of the most high energy sets of the entire [Summer Meltdown] fest." said Dennis Cook, Associate Editor of Jambase.
BLVD has created a style that is winning people over from coast to coast. In 2008 the three piece band's full-length Music for People earned the band respect from critics, with select tracks being heard on both Fuel Television and MTV, as well as on promotional websites for Victoria's Secret, AOL, and CBS.
BLVD's live show is a fusion of electronic soundscapes and live instrumentation, featuring drummer Dylan McIntosh, electric guitarist Curtis Sloane, and bass / synth player Tripp Bains.
Unpredictable live performances include rock instrumentals and live/electronic arrangements drawing on influences from many genres. BLVD's sound doesn't lend itself to typical classifications, and their work is a great representation of our current musical landscape.
Opening the show will an electric set by THUMP! Each of THUMP's members bring a genre, style and influence to create music that is uniquely their own. The result is music with harmonic interest and infectious groove.THUMP can only be described as an band with an all encompassing attitude that never lost touch with it's iconic roots of Pop, R&B, Funk, Rock, Blues, Latin and Jazz music.
