Wild Child - A Live Recreation of a 1960's Doors Concert plus Reckless In Vegas
Wild Child "Sets The Night on Fire" with a Live Re-Creation of a 1960s "Doors" Concert at George's Nightclub on Friday, March 8th @ 8:30pm
Close your eyes and imagine a warm summer night where you are present at a Doors concert in 1968. The lead singer Jim Morrison ambles on stage; cool, sexual, sardonic and magnetic wearing black leather pants and jacket. He begins to sing, mesmerizing the crowd with soulful, raw, wild , growly and sometimes screaming vocals summoning excitement in everyone present. This is what you will experience when Dave Brock, lead singer of Wild Child, does a live re-creation of a classic DOORS concert! Come experience the madness and magic of a live Doors concert with Wild Child, the premier Doors tribute band. The band is composed of Los Angeles-based professional musicians and has performed in India, Mexico, Canada and on eight European tours, playing to packed venues.
A Los Angeles based act with 20 solid years of performance in the competitive L.A. Music Scene, Wild Child faithfully re-creates a live Doors Concert on stage. The music is painstakingly reproduced and combined with the voice, look and essence of Jim Morrison live on stage (performed by lead singer Dave Brock). Wild Child tries to mirror the depth, energy and emotion of the Doors concerts as they were live back in the late 1960s. The band also utilizes the same musical instruments live as the Doors did over 35 years ago.
Front man, Dave Brock, started his role as the Lizard King by grabbing the lead in the "Jim Morrison Rock Opera," produced by the late legends sister, Anna Morrison Graham. Anna personally selected Brock for the part. From there, he started the band Wild Child, whose reputation rapidly spread from Southern California to remote areas of the world. Wild Child's first show at The Whisky a-Go-Go was on July 3rd, 1986. A long string of sell out shows at The Whisky has continued for Wild Child to this date.
Wild Child broke right into the national act venue circuit, and continues to play across the country and abroad to packed touring act venues. Concert goers leave Wild Child concerts in amazement and disbelief! The band relies on stage craft and musicianship to create an event that people will remember, without corn ball antics and pretentious banter. This is a serious, touring re-creation stage show.
In 2005 the band produced "Wild Child - Live In Concert" a 22 song double disc CD set of songs recorded 100% live. The songs on the CD are ones the Doors made popular on stage as well as songs from their last album that they were never able to perform live with Jim Morrison, due to his unexpected death.
Wild Child will remind listeners of the Doors unique blend of blues, classical, Eastern and pop music. This combined with lead singer Dave Brock's vocal incarnation of Jim Morrison's rich, chilling and sonorous voice gives the audience a true and inspiring experience of one of the most influential and popular groups of the 1960s...Ladies & Gentlemen....Wild Child!

Produced by Dan Shea (Jennifer Lopez, Santana, Mariah Carey), the new album and show feature edgy, modern yet heartfelt renditions of songs by 60's Las Vegas golden era acts such as Sinatra, Dean Martin, Elvis, Sonny & Cher, Frankie Valli, Neil Diamond, Johnny Cash, Bobby Darin, and more. "… [Wild Child's live CD] has been in production for over a year as lead singer David Brock has sought perfection on each and every song. I honestly think that this recording could get passed off to even a seasoned collector as being a new unheard Doors live show from the 1960s. It's the most incredible re-creation that I have ever heard" - Kerry Humpherys The Doors Collectors Magazine
