We are available for all types of private events, ranging from weddings, graduations, reunions, birthday parties, corporate events, cocktail parties, concerts, holiday galas, large receptions, film screenings, luncheons, sit down dinners and much more. A Brief History Of George’s

George’s Nightclub, the Bay Area’s premier, upscale nightclub, bar and lounge invites you to experience live entertainment in an inviting, retro setting.  Located at 842 Fourth Street in San Rafael’s revitalized downtown area, George’s features 5,200+ sq. ft. of plush comfort, two full bars, a dance floor, flat-screen TVs together with a full size, drop down screen for video projection.  Historic greats such as The Grateful Dead, Jefferson Airplane, Santana, Huey Lewis and the News, the Electric Light Orchestra, Chris Isaak, Bonnie Raitt, and Melissa Etheridge all played at George’s.  Other greats and still current favorites include Vinyl, Pride and Joy, Jesse Colin Young, Pete Escovedo, Roy Rogers, Lester Chambers, The Sun Kings, Tony Lindsay, It’s A Beautiful Day, Big Brother and the Holding Company, Gregg Rolie, Pablo Cruise to name a few.

Comedy Night (usually on a Wednesday) is very popular with guests and features well-known comedians such as Will Durst, Scott Capurro, and Arj Barker.

Todd Ghanizadeh began renovating George’s early 2010, transforming it into the sleek 1940’s style nightclub that you see today.
