Jazz at George's feat. Nicolas Bearde

George's Nightclub is proud to introduce Jazz at George's! The series began Thursday January 5, 2012 and will happen every first and third Thursday of every month*! In association with Urban Music Presents, George's will present the best of local, national and international Jazz superstars and we expect the stage to be graced with surprise guest visits from renowned Bay Area Jazz players. George's invites musicians and fans of Jazz to come and participate in what promises to be an incredibly hot Thursday session!

This session will be fronted by the supremely gifted singer-entertainer who is fluent in soul, jazz and R&B styling, Nicholas Bearde! He has been compared to vocal icons like Lou Rawls, Marvin Gaye, Donny Hathaway and Jon Lucien. All of the considerable talent of this Bay Area-based vocalist will be on display during his engagement at Jazz @ George's!

Jazz Recording artist, songwriter and educator, Nicolas Bearde , blends genres of jazz, soul and blues as he takes you on a musical journey. A seasoned and highly respected showman on stage, Bearde's personality and sense of humor, manifest themselves in his expressive ballads and up-tempo tunes, with an engaging rapport that captures and draws the audience into his performance. For the past 20 years, Nicolas has delighted audiences with his vocal acrobatics as a member of Bobby McFerrin's renowned a cappella ensemble, " Voicestra", while carving out his own remarkable solo career style.

With classic stylings and cool interpretations of jazz standards and blues - a sound that one reviewer described as "smooth and buttery", Nicolas is the definitive jazz romantic. Combining his original music with songs from the Great American songbook and hit tunes by an eclectic group of writers such as Burt Bacharach, Rogers and Hart, Duke Ellington and Jon Lucien, Nicolas swings with the best of them and brings a tenderness and delicacy to classic ballads, like no other.

General Admission: $16.00 in advance and $20.00 at the door – plus any additional ticket agent fees

Although there is no additional fee, we do enforce the “two-drink per person” minimum requirement for a reserved table. This obligation may be fulfilled either through our “bottle” service (please see the “Reservations” tab) or purchase of cocktails/soft drinks if that’s your preference.

Advanced tickets are available online up until 5:00 pm the day of the event. After 5:00 pm, available tickets can be purchased at the door. NOTE: It is not guaranteed that tickets will be available at the door for any event at George's Nightclub.
